John is the youngest of three boys born to Shirley (Frasier) Conklin, originally from Florida, and John Richard “Jack” Schneider III, a U.S. Air Force pilot. When he was eight, he staged magic acts for classmates—one even nearly ended in a Houdini-style swimming pool stunt! At age 14, he and his mother moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he joined high school drama clubs and barbershop quartets, laying early groundwork for his performance path. 

Breakthrough Role: The Dukes of Hazzard

At just 18, John audaciously posed as a southern country boy—complete with a truck, beer, and a rugged accent—to secure the role of Bo Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard (1979–1985). • Married Tawny Little (1983–1986), then Elly Castle (1993–2014), with whom he has three children (two stepchildren and one daughter, Karis). 

• In 2019, he wed Alicia Allain, who sadly passed from breast cancer in 2023. They collaborated on CBoD oil during her treatment.
